Happy New Year

I came here to do a blog post because I hadn't posted since Christmas Eve but now Blogger has changed.  I have resisted the new Facebook changes but I know they will catch up with me soon too.....I hate it when I get comfortable on how something works, then it gets changed.

It's the wrong time of year for my brain to cope with all of these changes because this is our down time here in Australia.  Between Christmas and New Year, the whole country winds down and slips into holiday mode.  No one goes to to work or school, and everyone sleeps in and relaxes at the beach or by the pool. Of course, the shop assistants have to work because everyone also wants to shop in the post Christmas sales.  These sales are our equivalent to the Black Friday sales in the US.

I hope everyone has a great New Year....roll on 2012!!!  2011 was not the best for health in our house, so we are hoping for a much better year on that front.

I can't believe there is less than two weeks to go until 2012, that means I have nearly completed my first Project 365. Congratulations to anyone else who is still going strong after 50 weeks.

New Moments in Time Deco Papers

It's been 4 weeks since my surgery already, and that means I can now progress from slushy/pureed food to soft foods. It has been lovely to have some soft vegetables, an omelette with mushrooms ham and spinach and even a piece of cake! Real food at last!
In 2 to 4 weeks I can start to try foods which are harder to swallow, and then the real test will come......and I will know if my surgery was successful.

Frosty now at the new Pickleberrypop

Pickleberrypop is finally back after changing servers. It was only supposed to take a day or two, but it ended up taking two weeks. We were all very relieved to see it return. Now the site has a fresh new look........and a new owner too! Fayette has taken over the reins from Carolyn, and I am looking forward to seeing what's in store at Pickleberrypop in 2012. We even have some pretty new packaging for our previews!
