CT Layouts and Template 40

Today I thought I would share a few of the fabulous layouts my creative team are putting together. They are all doing such a magnificent job!

Other than going out for my weekly shopping and coffee trip and taking Justin to the dentist to get a stubborn baby tooth removed it was a pretty quiet day!
I have a new template to share - number 40! It is a simple clean lined template...enjoy!

Mum's Taxi Back in Service!

My boys have been back at school for two days now and everything has gone quite smoothly! They even ate their lunches! LOL
My taxi service has swung back into full gear tonight with driving around the boys to cricket practice then soccer practice (with a little break at home in-between). There wasn't even time for a swim because we still had to have tea and the boys had to do homework before bed! Before we knew it 9pm had come around!

This is a short post to let you know my second set in the series.......You've Been Framed - Foil Frames.....has just been released. If you are looking for more frames or frames which co-ordinate with my Lime Freeze, Iced Berry or Iced Denim kits these will be great. Some frames have been decorated with sprinkles of glitter.
I am actually dragging myself off the computer early tonight and curling up in bed with an episode of Grey's Anatomy while DH is away on business!

Sandwich Saga Again!....New Release & Sampler

The six week summer break has come to an end and the kids all go back to school tomorrow. We enjoyed the last day with friends over a BBQ lunch. The weather was just perfect for sitting around having a few afternoon drinks while all the kids played with their friends.
While finally getting around to cleaning out their school bags guess what I found in one of them? If you guessed old mouldy sandwiches then you guessed right!! This time there were only two but they were so old they had disintegrated into green dust! It was not good!
Anyway, I think everything is now organised and hopefully they all have a good first day back with their new teachers.

Today I have a layout to share of Andrew when he was 14 months old. I used my Snow Biz kit but there isn't a snowflake in sight! I have finished scrapping up to the end of 1994 apart from a few holiday photos in Queensland. I haven't got the right kit so I am still putting one together for those photos. So now I am moving on into 1995 - the year Justin was born.
I have a new release in the store today - a set of 18 Paper Bag frames.
Some are sprinkled with glitter, some are stitched and some are plain. If you scroll down a little you can grab the sampler which includes two of the frames.

Australia Day Mini and New Shop Mini Kits

January 26th is Australia Day (equivalent to July 4th for those in the US). To celebrate this occasion I have a mini kit to give away.
The end of January also signals the end of the summer school holidays for the kids. This weekend we need to make sure the kids are organised with their school uniforms...and books and pencils are named. I am looking forward to my oh so quiet morning coffee after dropping the kids off at school!
Don't forget about the birthday party which is going on at Scrapbook-Bytes over the next 2 days. I have two new mini kits in the store now.

Here's a quick layout I did to show off the vibrant colours in Lime Freeze.

Congratulations, you have made it all the way through my images to get to my special mini kit!
Happy Australia Day!

My New CT, SSB Mega and a Layout

First things first...look at my huge Creative Team!
I found it so hard to only pick three or four so I took a few more than planned! Congratulations to the ladies who will be joining me...I can't wait to see what they create. I would also like to thank everyone else who applied but didn't make it this time.

Now I have to rave about Scrapbook-Bytes new January Collab Mega - For the Love of - which is going to be free with any minimum order of $10 - only on January 25-27.
The reason for this....it's SBB's 5th birthday and there is going to be lots of celebrating going on over there.
Check out this gorgeous kit! There are even some templates and quickpages in there too! You have to see this kit to believe it!!

Here is a better preview for you to drool over!

I made a layout today to show you some of the beautiful elements.
This really is a must have kit - 66 papers, 122 elements and 2 alphas!

The Pink Post!

My CT call has now closed and I am in the process of sorting through all the applications. I was only going to take a few but due to the great response my team will be bigger than planned. I will be finalising my team this evening and sending out emails within the next 24 hours. I would like to say a thankyou here to everyone who applied. You have all made it so hard to choose!

Now onto my pink post!
I have a new kit and quickpage set in the store - Iced Berry - which is a pink variation on my Iced Denim. Below is a layout I did with one of the quickpages and a few extra elements from the kit. Two of the quickpages are snow themed while the other two are just girly and pink!

...and just to top off my pink day I have an add-on to Iced Berry to share. With 4 boys (3 kids & one DH) in the house it is nice to sometimes see pink!

QP release, a layout and a template freebie

Our plumbing problem is getting closer to being resolved! DH spent much of today digging to expose the pipe...and surprise surprise there were tree roots in it! The neighbours roots of course! Not sure what the next course of action is after getting the plumber back to replace the broken pipe. I am really annoyed that we have already spent over $400 in plumbers fees with more to come.

Anyway, enough of my ranting...I have a layout to share using my new Grungilicious kit.
I hadn't done an OOB (out of bounds) for a while so I had fun with this one. The photo was one of about 100 I took down by the water after Christmas!
I managed to get my Grungilicious Quickpages into the store today. This preview shows the detail on the papers clearer.

I also created a Valentine themed template for you to download!

CT Call and a New Release

After enjoying a few days away it's time to get back to business!
I need some more talented ladies (or gents) to help showcase my designs so I have put out a call at DST. I can't wait to see who will be joining my great team.

My latest release has just hit the shop - Grungilicious. As the name suggests it is a little grungy! I have a set of 4 quickpages too but I haven't had a chance to get them into the shop. Hopefully I will get them in tomorrow!

Holiday and Frame Cluster

We are away on a short holiday at the moment and enjoying some slightly cooler weather.
It is very handy being able to check email etc at the local library while away. The boys are all off playing cricket at the moment so I thought I would utilise the libary network.

The boys can’t seem to play enough tennis at the moment after watching the Australian Open tournament on the TV. I think I will have some sore muscles tomorrow…I haven’t picked up my racquet in ages!
Speaking of copying...Justin and Matthew saw something on TV they thought they would copy...sticking their tongues in the freezer to see if they would stick! They did!!! Some lessons are hard for kids to learn!
We have also done some bike riding and paddling. I have a couple of photos to share of our little trip. The one with the flag in it shows how the water level has dropped over the last couple of years. The black line on the timber is where the water should be! If we don’t get some good rain this year who knows how low the water will get!

The tracks you can see going into the water behind Matthew we didn't even know were there a couple of years ago. If you look to the right of the boat you can just make out the train at the station. It is a very pretty place for holidays.

After playing tennis last night I made a quick frame cluster to share...enjoy!

Iced Denim Add On

It's been a busy few days setting up my new shop and I haven't always been able to get on a computer with the kids still on their summer break!
I am also in the middle of adding to my creative team. I just added a couple more girls and a few guests to my team and will be doing a call shortly to add a few more. When I have my full team organised I will announce all of them here.
Now if you want to see some real old photos....the layout below is of our wedding! I used one of the quickpages from Cottage Retreat and added a few extra flowers and some hearts from the full Cottage Retreat kit.
I think the shades of blue in my Iced Denim kit are some of my favourite colours. They are so easy to work with. I have created a little add on to share today..enjoy! I love seeing layouts using my designs because it's amazing how everyone uses them differently!

Hot Hot Hot! - Iced Denim!

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for the lovely comments on opening my new store.

It seems really funny to me that we are sweltering in a heat wave and yet my latest scrapbook kit is Iced Denim - a cool, wintery, snow kit!!

You can find the full kit and the 4 12" x 12" quickpage set in my Scrapbook-Bytes store.
We don't get any snow where I live in Australia so I will be using all the elements minus the snowflakes. The following layout is one example of how the kit can be used for boys or anything else. I pulled the colours out of the photo (of Andrew in early 1995) to colour the notepaper then cut it into stars. I so wish digital cameras were around back then. I am having to scan all my old photos into the computer before I can use them!

Cottage Retreat Add On

The last couple of days have been very busy setting up my new store at Scrapbook-Bytes.
I still have to reorganise my CT team ..... I have been extremely slack in this regard!

The photo below is what inspired my new kit Cottage Retreat. With our new bedroom carpet laid our bedroom is finally complete.

To give you a taste of my new kit I have created a little add-on to share...I hope you enjoy it!

New Shop, New Release - Cottage Retreat

My first kit and quickpage set are in the store now. The kit is 20% off to celebrate the new store. I have got a free add-on to co-ordinate with this kit but I didn't get time to upload it last night. I will upload that today at some stage.
My next kit - Iced Denim - is being uploaded as I type.

Template 38

Short and sweet blog today!
In the middle of our heatwave we had a small break with beautiful weather today. We were able to sit outside all afternoon while we had a BBQ with friends who were visiting from Darwin. The boys all played very well and were able to enjoy a swim together.
I made a simple template to share today.

Stamp Cluster 8

Our plumbing problem is no closer to being solved and our heatwave still going strong! The boys are now half way through their 6 week school holiday break and I haven't even come close to tearing my hair out yet! Justin and Matthew spend most of their days playing backyard cricket (and we haven't lost any windows yet) then they jump in the pool when they get too hot. The rest of us stay inside with the air conditioning and only go outside to swim (or dig).
I have a couple of new kits which are extemely close to completion. I may post a little teaser soon!
In the mean time I thought I would create another stamp cluster for you all.

Wet Start to 2008?

We are in the middle of a heat wave still with temperatures above 100 degrees but we had a flood.... inside the house! Our pipes are blocked again...we paid out nearly $300 last April to get the neighbours tree roots removed and they are obviously back...not happy! I was running the washing machine with the first of three loads and the water had no where to go. It came up from the floor in the laundry and the main bathroom! DH is now digging to expose the pipes so that we can see which tree is the culprit. We will then ask for the neighbours to pay for the plumber.

I realised that I hadn't even advertised my sale which is going on at Elemental Scraps. I am retiring some designs and there are bargains to be had before they are gone forever.
Look out for my exciting new designs soon!

Happy New Year

The new year is well under way here in Australia...and we are expecting a scorcher of a day for January 1. We are in the middle of a heat wave here so it is hard to imagine how cold it is in the Northern Hemisphere!
We all enjoyed a few days away even though the weather was warmer than usual on the coast. The boys played lots of backyard cricket.....without getting injured this time! We did some bike riding and generally just spent lots of time on or in the water. Check out the photos below. The water level has dropped around 4 feet over the last couple of years because of our drought! Some bigger boats are already having trouble navigating around the sand bars.

I have a little New Year freebie to share today...I hope you all had a good one!!
