Within 24 hours I plan to have my 3 new release kits in the store and on special for 30% off for one day only.....
.....and one more third new kit is especially for the boys! I will show this one tomorrow when I have them all in the store!!

Day 27, 28 & 29!

Oops....the end of the month has got away!

We had a very busy weekend, the boys all went back to school this week and I have been busy preparing for National Scrapbooking Day which is coming up on Saturday. There will be heaps of freebies around the digi-scrapping community and some fantastic bargains with all the sales that will be on!

Over the next three days I will be previewing some new designs which will be in my shop in time for the big day.

First up is my new mini kit - Bluebell - a pretty pastel kit in gorgeous colours.
Here's a closer look at the detail!

....and here's a little freebie add-on before the mini kit is even in the store!

Day 26 - CT Layouts

Winter is definitely coming!
The temperature has dropped heaps over the last day or two and the forecast for Sunday is 14 degrees celcius (57 f), hail, showers, thunder etc. Matthew is supposed to play soccer in the morning so hopefully it won't be cancelled.

I grabbed a few layouts from my CT to show today. These ones were done by Michelle, Nancy and Tammy...aren't they fabulous? The kits used are Bugs n Grubs, Sherbet Twist, Whispering Forest and Breath of Spring.

Day 25 - ANZAC Day

Two of my boys were out on sleepovers lastnight so our house was soooo quite this morning!
Justin played in a soccer scratch match this evening, and for the first time this year he got moved out of defence and into his more familiar striker position. He was extremely happy and scored 2 goals - one from a penalty!
Other than that nothing much really happened. I did do a few layouts using Tracy Ann's April Lucky Dip Grab Bag. So check these three pages if you need some layout inspiration.
The photo in this first layout is one of my all time favourites. While Justin is looking away from his 'squeaky' ball, Nicki (our last dog) was trying to grab it!

Window Frames 2 - The Green Frames

Window Frames 3 - The Rustic Frames

Day 23 - Just a Layout!

The boys' school holiday break is quickly coming to a close with a public holiday (ANZAC Day) on Friday and a busy weekend lined up.
Tonight we went to the soccer - to watch Adelaide United beat Bin Duong (from Vietnam) 4-1. It was a very exciting match and at half time no-one had scored. Then within a 9 minute period 4 of the goals were scored!

All I have today is a layout with my new Bugs n Grubs kit. I have scrapped a few pages this week and will share more of them tomorrow. I try to add more elements like I see in the galleries, but this busy style just isn't me.
I like the KISS principle - Keep It Simple Stupid!
I like the photo(s) to be the main focus. Scrapping supplies should enhance the photos and not bury them!

Day 22 - SBB Collab - Last Day!

Silly me forgot to post the April Scrapbook-Bytes collab Singin' in the Rain! Today is the last day that you can still get this fabulous kit when you spend $10 at the store!
Below is a layout I made with this awesome kit. The photos show my boys racing leaves down the street during heavy rain back in 2006. This seems to be one of their favourite activities while it's raining!

Day 21 - Frame Overlays & Bugs n Grubs QP's

I ran out of time to write about the weekend yesterday and it seems that today has also got away.
Just briefly though....Justin's soccer team played in their first cup round and lost...which shocked everyone. The only good thing is that it now frees up a couple of Sundays because they don't progress to the next round! They will still have their regular games and of course school soccer starts in about 3 weeks.
DH and I went out for a belated birthday lunch on Sunday without the boys. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we dined overlooking the beach.
I made some quickpages today out of my new Bugs N Grubs kit and they have only just gone into the store.

I also made a set of frame overlays to give away. I left one black and then made two glitter ones with the Bugs N Grubs glitter styles.

Day 20 - New 'Bugs N Grubs'

I just put this new kit in the store - Bugs N Grubs - which is perfect for any kids who love
exploring their backyard or further! I haven't got time to post much now - it's way past my bed time!

Day 19 - Not Much Really!

I can't believe how hard it is to blog every day for a whole month! This time last year I was doing it easily!
The day started slowly with a leisurely breakfast of croissants and a latte. After a week of having the boys around on holidays I had a lovely quiet afternoon when DH took the boys out to play Par 3 golf.
Here's a quick layout with one of the photos from their expedition. The funniest thing is that they wore some soccer shirts! Justin now thinks he has a plan B if his plan A of playing professional soccer doesn't pan out.

Day 18 - Litte Diva Mini & Clusters 2

I started this post 5 hours ago, then went out for tea with the girls, and finally came home to finish it before heading off to bed. With no kids sport again tomorrow I am hoping for a huge sleep-in!

I have a couple of new releases in my store at Scrapbook-Bytes today - a mini kit Little Diva & Frame Clusters 2. These will also work very well together.

Frame Cluster 2 texture detail.

....and since I don't have any 2 legged divas in my house I thought I would scrap our dog to show you how the elements come together.

Day 17 - Template 44

So, you all liked my birthday presents! The gourmet chocolates are pretty good too!
We are now a few days into the school holidays and today we went nowhere. It is an extremely rare day when the car doesn't move...but when diesel costs $1.60 (AUD) a litre that's a good thing!
The boys basically planted themselves on a couch each in the family room and played on the Playstation all day. They didn't even go outside to kick the soccer ball today which is even more rare!
I decided to get stuck into doing layouts today. I am now working my way through 1996! Some I can't show you yet because I used some kits which aren't finished.
The first one has one of my favourite photos from when Andrew and Justin were little. I used Vera Lim's kit 'Free to Live' for this one.

For the next one I used mainly 'Come Out and Play' by Kate Hadfield, Catrine and Birgit at Catscrap. The main background paper is from Madame Mim's 'Fish in the Sea' and the frames are from the Catscrap March collab 'Primavera'. I don't normally mix kits much because I find it easier to scrap a page from one kit only. As you can see, Andrew was far too big for this pusher (or pram for some of you).

I haven't done a template for a while so here is number 44. I based this one on a layout I did today which I will share later.

Day 16 - My Birthday Stash!

When my brother asked for a wish list for my birthday I couldn't think of anything, so I made up a challenging list:

1. $1,000,000
2. Red sports car
3. A chef on call 24 hours a day
4. 25 hour days

....he managed to get me the first three! The $1m came in a huge cardboard cheque, the sports car is a little toy Ferrari, and the chef is a little figurine with toothpicks (with a sign saying "on call 24 hours" !) I didn't get my fourth request for the 25 hour days...oh well! He did very well to do the other three. After presenting the funny presents I then got my favourite Grant Burge wine and the most delectable gourmet chocolates!

Here's a layout of what I got.

Day 15 - Queen of the Day!

I have the honour of being Queen of the Day today at Digishop-Talk. Stop by here and check it out!
I don't have anything new today in my month of specials because I was too busy preparing tea for my brother and family who were down from the Barossa Valley. They came to celebrate our recent birthdays and brought lots of goodies with them.
I got 3 of my birthday wishes -
1. $1,000,000
2. A red sports car
3. A chef on call 24 hours a day
Come back tomorrow and I will have details and some photos to show you! :)

Day 14 - Stamp Cluster 12

Today is the first day of my boys 2 week school holiday break. Most of the day went smoothly except when one son tried to rip the ear off another son! They get far too competitive in their backyard soccer!
My boys said they enjoyed doing the grocery shopping weird is that? Usually they hate doing the shopping and all they do is whinge and complain!

I have a couple of layouts to share today. For the first one I used a beautiful free kit from Shabby Princess called The Promise Collection.
For this one I used my Birthday Inc. kit and a doodle from Gypsy Chick.

I thought it was time for another new stamp here is number 12!

Day 13 - Our Birthday & Birthday Inc. Frames

Our birthday has finally arrived....but I am not telling you how old my DH and I are today. I will say that he is one year older than me and I won't let him forget it! LOL
We didn't even see each other until late morning because we had to head to different soccer games. DH did the really early one and had to leave at 7am while I was still asleep. We met up after the games and grabbed a bite to eat for lunch. Once home we were able to do the present swap and had some veg out time before all heading out for a walk in the scrub near our home. I took my camera and snapped some interesting things for a boys kit I am working on.
I made some pretty frames from a few of the papers in my Birthday Inc. kit to share on this special day. I would also like to thank you all for birthday wishes that I have received.

Day 12 - FIL's Birthday!

We just got home after going out for tea to celebrate my FIL's 70th birthday.
It is quite late here and my DH and I have an early start for our birthdays tomorrow because the boys are playing soccer at different far away locations. We are planning to meet up for lunch somewhere after the games if all goes well!
I forgot to mention in yesterday's post that my new Birthday Inc. mega kit is on sale for a few grab it while its hot!
I know that many other designers have percentage sales to match their birthdays (i.e. 30% for turning 30) ....but my percentage would be too high so my kit is only 20% off!! LOL

Our busy birthday weekend has arrived.....and so has my newest kit - Birthday Inc.!

This is no ordinary is a mega kit which includes:

This kit is bigger than Ben Hur! You even get to put the cupcakes together in any combination, then add some choc chips, sprinkles, smarties or a cherry! There are lots of presents, party hats, balloons, sparkle and glitz! For the adults there are even some wine and champagne glasses!

Here's a couple of quick layouts I have done with Birthday Inc.

...and here is a guilt free taste test of what's in the kit. Enjoy!

Day 10 - Crowns and CT Layouts

My newest kit is getting oh so close....I can't wait to unveil it!
I just need to finish uploading it into the store. I ran out of time today because I was at Matthew's cross country running event all morning. The kit is a whopping 270Mb so uploading is taking a while. I'm not sure why it is faster to download than to upload.

Anyway, today I thought I would share a few layouts that my fabulous creative team have put together.
The first 4 were made with my Iced Berry kit. If you still have some snow photos to scrap, be sure to check this one out. If you prefer a similar kit in blue, check out my Iced Denim.
The next four layouts were made from my Licketty Split mini kit which was in my Birthday Grab Bag but is now available separately in my store. The brown alpha was also in my bag and is now in the shop.

....and now for all those budding kings and are your crowns. I will be wearing one next week, but more on that later!

Day 8 - Glitter Edged Frames

Wow....I have blogged for 8 days straight!
Other than running Mum's Taxi Service - it was another quiet day! Can't complain about quiet days because the kids start a two week school holiday break at the end of the week and I'm sure my days will be anything but quiet!
Here's a few more pieces to add to your collection.

Day 7 - Felt Hearts

Everything really is back to normal today....did some washing and ironing and other boring chores then went to the physio!

I did manage to do one layout today of Andrew's first zoo visit. I used some elements from my Woodstock kit and also from the Scrapbook-Bytes March collab - Birds the Word.
The zoo visit was the annual work Christmas party for kids where lunch, ice blocks and presents were supplied. It was always a good day out.

Here is the next instalment of this month's special freebies.
