Template 60

I have been a very lazy blogger this week because I haven't been feeling very well, but today is the first day since last Sunday that I have actually wanted to eat something so I must be on the mend! I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a good one and didn't eat too much! I wouldn't have been able to eat anything if we celebrated it down here in Oz!

I really wanted to post yesterday to send this message to my SIL

Happy 50th Andrea!!!!
hope you had a fabulous day!

I will be looking forward to catching up next weekend to celebrate.

The Black Friday sales are on everywhere and I haven't felt like shopping so I might end up missing them all!
For those of you who have some new goodies to play with, here's a new template to get your creative juices going.

Snowed Under!

The Black Friday sales have started on Monday at Scrapbook-Bytes!

If you are lucky enough to live where it snows and are looking for a new snow kit, look no further! Snowed Under has arrived. If you love these colours and would like some Christmas elements to match, then stay tuned....I have some coming very soon. I used the same colour palette as Iced Denim so if you already have that kit you can mix and match.

I have a set of matching quickpages too.

Here is one of only a handful of snow photos that I have. We don't have snow here in South Australia so we had to drive to the Victorian high country to see some.
In October 1999 we went on a driving holiday through Victoria and drove up to Mt Hotham so the boys could see snow for the first time. They were aged 2, 4 and 6 at the time and had a ball. We haven't seen snow since!

I also have a little pack of Snowed Under extras to share today....enjoy!

Lots of Christmas Frames

After the bad start to our week, it didn't really get any worse!
We got my PC back working again - a simple vacuum fixed it. You should have seen all the dust in the tower! I can't believe how much accumulated in it. There is a lesson to be learnt though...back up those files more frequently!
My back that I 'twinged' on Tuesday is also back to normal. My knee on the other hand is a different story. I now have an appointment with a different specialist to see if it is rheumatoid arthritis. It sounds like a condition that only old people get but I know of someone who is only 17 and has it. I probably won't know for sure until sometime in January if I am lucky!

Enough about the highs and lows of the week, I have been busy making lots of different Christmas frames. If you are like me, you are always looking for new and interesting frames.
The first two sets - Christmas Frames & Christmas Stamp Clusters 1 are now in my shop.

Here's a little extra Snowflake Stamp Cluster for you...enjoy!

Christmas Frame Cluster

Have you seen this beautiful kit Artemia? I just bought it and haven't had the chance to download the whole 912mb yet! It is a charity kit created for fellow scrapper Danielle.

Here's just a few of the papers.

The contributing designers are: ah! Designs, Amanda R Designs, Catherine Designs, Createwings Designs, Emiko Designs, Heaven’s Gate Designs, Holly Designs, Jazzmin Designs, Jofia Designs, Kate Hadfield, Lauren Reid, Lorie Davison and Madame Mim.
This kit contains more than 50 incredible papers, carefully crafted with patterns, textures, and brushwork, more than 200 elements including many wordarts, some brushes, some doodles, some shadowed versions and 3 alphas (in separate png files).
It includes as a free gift a 12 (12 x 12) Quick Pages album.

We seem to be experiencing many hiccups this week!
Firstly, on Monday night my main designing PC had a dummy spit and we are yet to see how much can be retrieved! :(
Today, DH had his first sick day off work for years.
While looking at all the cables under my PC I twinged a muscle in my back and it's been sore all day. We felt like a couple of oldies mooching around home today! The hot spa I had this afternoon has helped a little though...and of course I have my ongoing knee problem. Tomorrow I am having a bone scan so hopefully the problem with it will be found!

I had lots of sitting time today so I did some home movie editing from June. I only have 4 or 5 months to do but I usually scrap instead.

I created a little Christmas Traditions Frame Cluster to share today.

Bracket Album, QP's and Template 59

Not much happening in my part of the world except I am just about ready to chop my knee off! For those of you that may remember, I had my knee 'fixed' 14 months ago and it hasn't been right since. I do not want to go through the same surgery a second time. Next week I will have more tests to see if the problem can be sorted out!

In the meantime I am trying to catch up on some layouts. This is another one using my new Christmas Traditions kit.

If you don't have much time to scrap because of work commitments or having to deal with very young children, take the easy way and grab these Christmas Traditions Quickpages.....

...or make a hybrid bracket album. These pages fit the Basic Gray bracket album.

Now here's another new template I have made to share.

New Christmas Traditions and Free Balls!

I don't know what's up with our weather at the moment! First it's stinking hot and we are swimming, then it's freezing cold and our electric blankets go on....then it's stinking hot again! I would like some of the pleasant in-between weather!
It's hard to know if Christmas is coming or going with this wacky weather!
Anyway, if you are looking for a traditional red, green, gold kit with which to scrap your precious Christmas memories, then Christmas Traditions is it! I used the same colour palette as last year's Christmas Memories kit so you can even mix and match if you choose.

Here's a closer look at some of the detail.

A closer inspection of the papers can be found here!

To show you what can be done, I have a layout here using only the kit and a cloud brush.

Here is a sample of my balls (bulbs) for you to try!

A Day Out .... and a Clipping Mask

Today DH and I got to spend some child free time together. A couple of DH's work colleagues are over from Singapore so we took the opportunity to go out for lunch and do some wine tasting.
The weather was perfect to be out and about and playing the tourist.

Our first stop was the tourist information centre where we collected an up to date map of the McLaren Vale wineries (our old map is 20 years old and a little out of date).
This sign was at the centre and shows how far we are from the rest of the world.

This was my lunch at the Tin Shed Cafe- Flathead in Coopers Ale batter. It was the best fish I have ever had! I joked with the kids before we went that the toilets would be old fashioned little outhouses....and they were!

After lunch it was time to head to a couple of wineries. I loved the sheep on this sign!

This was the magnificent view from the Hugh Hamilton tasting area. The gazebo shaped building is perched in the middle of the vines.

After stopping at the Almond Train and the chocolate factory, it was time to head back. We took the scenic way home via the coast. This is just a small part of our fabulous beach lined coast.

Now you can have the clipping mask I used on my photo.

Tuesday November 4th - what a day!

Andrew's 15th birthday stopped our household....
...the Melbourne Cup stopped the nation....
...and the US election almost stopped the world while we watched the drama unfold!

Other than that, not much has really happened. I am working on a new Christmas kit at the moment and it is coming together beautifully. It should be in the shop late next week.
In the meantime, I have another layout using my Techno Bytes kit.

I created a new template from the layout in my last post.

Some Dotty Things!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and snapped up lots of terrific freebies and bargains that were around for Digital Scrapbook Day.

I have a couple of layouts to share today. The first one is made with the SBB collab kit Modern Boy.....the colours in this kit are fabulous!

....and this one was made from my Techno Bytes kit. These photos were taken on Justin's birthday last year. Tomorrow we have to be organised for Andrew's 15th birthday! I really don't know where those 15 years have gone!

I was playing around in Photoshop today and made these odd looking dotty things...which I thought I would share. I would love to see how they can be used in some layouts!
