New Weather Watch and a Bonus Frame Cluster

It's been a different sort of week this week!
Today we celebrated Matthew's 12th birthday. Yesterday I spent most of the day waiting around in hospital to have an endoscopy...and we all know that doctors never ever run on time! I wish I could have taken my laptop in with me to help pass the time, but they don't recommend you take valuables in!

I still managed to finish my newest kit Weather Watch, and also have some Weather Watch Quickpages and Weather Watch Brag Book.

Some details...

....and now I have a Weather Watch frame cluster to share.

Sorry link expired. Cluster now included with Weather Watch kit in the store.

An Eventful Pedal Prix Race!

It's that time of year again - for the second Pedal Prix race of the season. This year they decided to extend the July race from 6 hours to 9 hours, which meant that the last hour and a half was in darkness.

This year's race was packed with drama!

The slow bikes didn't always keep to the left and one of them cut in front of Andrew. This caused his bike to roll into a barrier...then his leg cramped and he only got to ride 5 laps in that stint. Luckily though he didn't get any injuries. During his last stint in the bike he did a very impressive 26 laps....with the last few in pouring rain! Justin was on the track at the same time and the sibling rivalry came out....with Andrew lapping Justin 3 times!

Matthew had to play a game of soccer before his ride and injured his ankle when he got kicked. He was still able to ride and ended up doing the most consecutive laps on his bike. His last laps were also in the rain.

Justin had a great day and did 18 laps during one of his turns. Near the end of the day he got out just before the rain came. The next rider rolled the bike, and before the marshals could stand him back up, another bike smashed into him. The rider got out OK and with lots of duct tape and half an hour out of the race, it got back on the track again.

Here's Justin's bike being taken back to the pits to get fixed.

The biggest drama was when an adult rider on another team passed out after having a suspected heart attack. The whole thing unfolded in the middle of the track while everyone watched! The race was stopped for an hour. At first everyone thought the rider had actually died at the track. We found out after the race that he was seriously ill in hospital.

After the rain, and before it got dark, I got this fabulous rainbow photo.

And finally, I have the lowercase letters of my new Cooked Alpha to sample today. To get the full alpha of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols and punctuation - you can get it here in my shop.

Sorry link expired, but the full alpha can be found here.

Template 81

This week we had to deal with some used car salesmen....it always seems like such a chore! Many aspects of buying a car feel like a big game. Luckily, we don't need to do it too often. In the end, we got the car we wanted at a good price (we think we did anyway)!

I have a few layouts to share today using my Cooked to Perfection kit, Page Borders 2 and Simple Masks 2. These pages show how versatile the kit is.

And here's a new template - number 81!

Template 80 and a little peek!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! We actually had a Saturday completely free...no sport to run the boys to! It was probably a good thing too, the weather was extremely wintry.

Here are my photos from week 28. My boys had their first week of school holidays so I was able to get a few different shots.

Here's a little peek at my new kit coming at the end of the week. I have to say this is one of my favourite kits so far...it is fabulous to work with!

Wow how time flies....here's my 80th template in a little over 2 years!

More Page Borders

The boys have already had one week of the their two week school holiday break. We have had some beautiful sunny days, and some cold, wet and very windy days like today!
The boys have been so inspired by watching Master Chef, that since the cupcake bake-off on Monday, Justin has baked two cakes and made gnocchi. Matthew even made some chicken, spinach and pesto skewers for tea last night.

I have added my Page Borders 2 to my store, along with two sets for those of you that scrap in 11" x 8.5" size. Also new in the store is a second set of Simple Masks. I am loving using both the borders and masks right now.

Here is an example of a page border in use - re-coloured and used with my More Moments kit.

I have made an extra border to share today - it comes in both 12" square and 11" x 8.5". All my page borders will now be available in both sizes. Use these borders as is or change the colour to suit the layout.

School Vacation Begins...and Photo Holder Samples

My boys have just begun their two week school holiday break.
They have been watching Master Chef and got inspired to have a cupcake bake off! We spent nearly 3 hours in the kitchen, and when they were finished I had to judge them. I couldn't decide on a winner, so when DH came home from work we independently gave them a score out of ten each. That way we didn't know who was going to win. DH didn't even know who made each one!

Andrew made cherry ripe flavour (cherry, coconut and chocolate), Justin did lemon, while Matthew did rum and orange...although I couldn't taste the rum essence (some Cointreau would have been nice).

The winner ended up being Matthew by one point and they all tasted fabulous.

Week 27 of P365 has disappeared with more food photos! One night I cooked waffles and the boys had fun creating a visually pleasing dish. The second photo was taken only a minute before the massive storm hit last week.

If you have been over to Scrapbook-Bytes in the last 3 days, you would have seen our beautiful new collab - Washed Away - which is free with any $10 order from participating designers. I must say that this collab is one of my favourites, but then I love beach kits!

Here's a fun layout I did with my Another Day in Paradise kit. The photo doesn't really show how big Freddo was...but he was huge compared to all the other hot air balloons.

I have a couple of extra Photo Holders for you to sample today.
